Welcome to Windrow Place and Chalet Guesthouse, Bed and Breakfast. We're located high above La Crosse on the bluff top near the landmark Alpine Inn and surrounded by the 800 acre Hixon Forest Nature Preserve with it's hiking trails, cross country skiing, mountain biking, and pure natural beauty. Biking and biking trails in the region cover hundreds of miles. Just down our road is Friendship Farm Stables with indoor and outdoor riding facilities and riding trails. Nature abounds in our country setting yet we're only 5 minutes from the restaurants and activities of La Crosse.

Come and enjoy the beauty of the Seven Rivers Region and just relax or engage in your favorite outdoor activity. For some, bird watching is tops. For others there's also golf or tennis at Forest Hills Golf Course (formerly the La Crosse Country Club) at the foot of Grandad Bluff.

Though not a full Bed & Breakfast Inn, we do provide a basic Continental breakfast for our guests.
